Route 8 - Le Marais      

Arrive on the Place St Gervais (Eglise St Gervais / St Protais , Name of 2 roman officers injured by Nero). Elm where is returned justice. On left , Hôtel de Ville (Old Place de Grève). Turn right in the Rue Francois Miron (Old houses). At numbers 11 and 13 , Half-timbered houses (dating of Louis XI, Sheets of Elms in the ironwork decorating the windows). At number 17, beautiful display "au Cheval de Sable ".

Walk along the Hôtel de Beauvais (Main House of the Abbey of Chaalis). At number 133 of Rue St Antoine , Chimeras et Balconies with ironworks at the 1st floor. Turn right in the small Rue du Prévôt ("rue Percée " at the 13th century). At number 5 , Vaults and handles. Turn left in the Rue Charlemagne.

 


On left , Eglise St Paul St Louis (the only church of jesuits in Paris). Turn right in the Rue des Jardins St Paul and walk along the Enclosure of Philippe Auguste (Visible, dating from 1190). Turn left and enter in the village St Paul. Get out by the Rue St Paul on left.

Make a roundtrip on left in the Rue Eginhard and the Passage St Paul. Turn right in the Rue des Lions st Paul. Turret at the corner of the street. Turn left in the Rue du Petit Musc then on right in the Rue de la Ceriseraie until the Arsenal. Walk along it until the Place de la Bastille (old place of prison and symbolic place of the revolution in 1789).
